Lofy’s Place is becoming a space where art is both made and encountered, rooted in the legacy of Luxembourgish artist Wil Lofy (1937-2021) and oriented toward what continues to grow.

Creation above – the Studio.

The first-floor Studio forms the heart of the project. It is a place of concentration and research, where artistic work unfolds in its own time. Courses, workshops, and seminars led by a variety of artists will bring different practices into dialogue. And when no classes are held, the Studio will offer dedicated artistic practice times only — bookable hours reserved for independent, focused creation.

Encounter below – the Exhibition Space.

On the ground floor, the house and garden will open as an exhibition space dedicated to the work of Wil Lofy, while also offering opportunities for other creative talents to exhibit. Sculptures and artworks will inhabit the rooms and extend into the garden, in dialogue with light and the changing seasons. This is the place of encounters where visitors meet the work and its enduring presence.

Lofy’s Place – the Project

To provide our vision with a solid foundation, Lofy’s Place ASBL (non-profit association) has been established. The project relies on the generosity of donors and the valued support of the Ville de Luxembourg—support that enables its carefully paced development while preserving its creative independence.

For this reason, Lofy’s Place will unfold in two phases:

  • Activation of the Studio: a creative space where people can come together to explore their artistic potential in a unique and inspiring setting, allowing artistic work to develop organically.
  • Development of the Exhibition Space and garden: primarily dedicated to showcase the artwork of Wil Lofy.

Layer by layer, the house will be transformed into a community space that bridges the past and the future, offering a sense of tranquility and presence – a living space for artistic practice, legacy, and exchange.
